As the person response for setting up a UAF chapter within the universities of Manchester I agree with the points expressed in this article. Whilst I can state that a large number of UAF supporters are sincere in their support, I can also report that whilst involved within the UAF I became increasingly concerned about the socio-political motives of the "mainstream" UAF upto the point where I decided to leave. Pandering to the whim of the Police, Councils, Government is not going to defeat Fascism. That is evident by the fact that the Government, Councils, Police, "Powers that be" allow the existence of Racist parties such as the BNP. The SWP & BNP both appear as scapegoat, distractionary organisatons to draw attention away from the misgivings of our ahem "leadership" and the cultural-economic system which stands dominant and repulsive today.
